Q 3: What is the ruling on reciting
Qunut (supplication recited while standing after bowing in the last unit of Prayer) in Fajr (Dawn) Prayer every day?
A:
Reciting Qunut in Fajr Prayer is not permissible except in cases of calamities, such as an epidemic, a siege being laid to the country, or the Muslims being persecuted. In such cases, it is permissible to recite Qunut in Fajr Prayer and other Prayers as the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to do.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
